Bio

“Live simply so others may simply live.” – Mahatma Gandhi

I believe therapy is a relationship experience between client and counselor. I, as a counselor, am an expert in my field and my client is an expert of themselves. My approach to therapy stems from the belief that client and counselor work best together as a team, to help uncover the core beliefs and traits taught to us as children and young adults. I incorporate empathy and unconditional positive regard into each of my sessions, to work towards connection and understanding of one another and one’s self.

I have experience working in both partial hospitalization program and outpatient settings. My experience stems from working with children and teens with autism, to working with adults with severe anxiety and depression. I have experience working as a mentor of juveniles, as well as a professional in the foster care system. My experience allows for me to keep an open mind when going into the therapy setting, to better understand my clients and their individual backgrounds.
