Bio

My passion for counseling stems from wanting to help each person learn to achieve their “Best Life”, using a person-centered approach with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I strongly believe that each person “Lives what they know” and sometimes may struggle to change without help, and I want to help each person effect that change within themselves and in their lives. I offer clients deep empathic listening, nonjudgmental acceptance, and therapeutic genuineness. My goal as a therapist is to create a comfortable, collaborative relationship with my clients, and to provide a safe place to help each client evaluate their concerns.

I graduated from Grand Canyon University in 2018 with my MS in Professional Counseling. I currently hold my LPC in the State of Michigan and have been counseling professionally for several years. My counseling experience comes from working in a community mental health setting. While there I worked as an outpatient therapist. Working with children, families and adults with issues such as depression, anxiety, and family conflict. I also worked with families that were involved with CPS. I have a vast amount of experience working with children and young adults within a school setting as I was a substitute teacher and Para-Educator before going back to school to get my master’s degree. I also hold a BA in Psychology from Kent State University.
