I take a very real, supportive, and down-to-earth approach to therapy. I want clients to feel comfortable being themselves in session without feeling judged or like they have to “have it all together.” I show up as a person first, creating a space where you can talk openly, process what you’re going through, and feel heard.
I also like to bring a creative and flexible approach into sessions when it feels helpful. This might include using different ways to express thoughts and emotions, or finding approaches that feel more natural than just talking. Not everyone processes things the same way, and I value creating a space that feels comfortable, engaging, and unique to each person.
I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can slow down, make sense of things, and start building tools that actually work in your everyday life. My style is relaxed, supportive, and honest. I will meet you where you are, while also gently challenging you when needed to help you grow.
I have experience working in community mental health, including outpatient therapy, substance use services, and jail-based settings. I’ve supported individuals in a variety of life situations, including those navigating legal involvement, recovery, and high levels of stress.
I also have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, and I value taking a patient, understanding, and flexible approach that meets each person where they are.
My work has included completing assessments, providing individual therapy, and supporting clients through life transitions, emotional challenges, and difficult experiences. I’ve worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use concerns.
I strive to create a space where clients feel comfortable, supported, and understood. My goal is to help people feel safe enough to open up, while also working toward meaningful and realistic change at their own pace.
I have experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and strengths-based approaches, and I would like to continue using these approaches in my work here. I value creating a flexible and individualized approach, as not every method works the same for each person.
I also incorporate coping skill development, grounding techniques, and support around family dynamics and relationship patterns. I often work with clients on building emotional regulation, problem-solving, communication, and boundary-setting skills, along with stress management and psychoeducation.
When appropriate, I like to bring in creative and practical strategies to help clients express themselves and work through challenges in ways that feel natural and comfortable.
I’m someone who values being grounded, real, and authentic in the way I connect with others. I bring a calm, down-to-earth presence and aim to create a space where people feel comfortable being themselves without fear of judgment.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading fantasy books, riding roller coasters, and spending time with my cat, Onyx. I also value creativity and tend to think outside the box, which shows up in the way I work with people. I don’t believe everything has to feel rigid or overly clinical, and I strive to create a space that feels natural, supportive, and approachable.
I genuinely enjoy connecting with people and creating an environment where they feel safe, understood, and able to open up at their own pace.
