Bio

“Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying ‘I will try again tomorrow.'” – Mary Anne Radmacher

Hello, I am Katelyn. My therapeutic approach strives to create a safe, warm, validating, and non-judgmental atmosphere. As a therapist, I hold space to explore and express thoughts, emotions, experiences, and authentic sense of self. Life is difficult, and my goal is to meet you where you are throughout its challenges and journeys. I am interested in understanding your goals, values, and needs, and together, we can create a plan for our therapeutic journey together. I emphasize factors of culture, identity, and lived experiences in order to gain a holistic understanding of you as a person.

I received my Master’s in Social Work from The University of Michigan in 2024. During grad school, I worked with folks exploring gender identity, sexual identity, and processing mental health concerns such as anxiety and depression. Additionally, I have a passion working with folks who have experienced the impact of trauma and PTSD by helping them create a personal sense of empowerment.

I can be found spending my free time with my cat (Luna), reading, finding the best coffee shops around town, and watching Michigan football (Go Blue!).
