Bio

I believe therapy should be a space where clients feel seen and heard. I strive to create an environment where clients can safely explore their experiences, emotions, and challenges while also recognizing their strengths and resilience. I use a trauma-informed and holistic approach to therapy, focusing on building coping skills while working toward healing and processing difficult experiences.

I meet clients where they are and walk alongside them as they navigate challenges, healing, and personal growth. I value building strong therapeutic relationships, because I believe healing happens through connection and trust. I believe there is no “one size fits all” approach to therapy, and I tailor sessions to each client’s unique personality, strengths, and lived experiences.

My hope is that clients leave sessions feeling supported, empowered, and more confident in their ability to navigate life’s challenges.

Prior to working at Therapy Today, I gained experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of clinical settings. I provided ABA therapy to children with Autism ages 3–15, supporting clients in building communication, emotional regulation, behavioral, and social skills while collaborating closely with caregivers and treatment teams.

I also worked with children and adolescents ages 6–17 in a Children’s Advocacy Center, where I supported clients who had experienced sexual abuse and other significant life stressors. Through this work, I gained experience helping clients process difficult experiences, develop healthy coping skills, and build emotional resilience in a safe and supportive environment.

In addition, I provided individual therapy to adults ages 36–85 within a community mental health setting. I worked with individuals navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Working with clients across the lifespan has strengthened my ability to adapt my approach to the unique needs, goals, and experiences of each individual I work with.

Outside of the therapy room, I’m someone who really enjoys slowing down and enjoying the little things. I’m an avid reader and love talking about books. In the summer you can usually find me at the lake enjoying the sunshine and reading a good book :). I also like staying active, especially weight training and anything that gets my body moving. Having a twin brother and 3 other siblings has been a big part of my life and definitely keeps life interesting. Having a twin brother has shaped how I understand connection, relationships, and the different ways people experience the world.

My Christian faith is also an important part of who I am and how I move through life. It grounds me, shapes the way I see people, and reminds me of the importance of compassion, grace, and hope in both everyday life and in the work I do with others.
